Kincardine O’Neil Twinning Association

The village of Kincardine O’Neil is twinned with Thun Saint Martin in North East France. We actively encourage friendship and understanding between our communities in Scotland and France through annual visits, and local activities to generate interest and funds to facilitate a successful exchange each year. In alternate years each group visits the other, living with host families. We enjoy a range of activities and functions together over a long weekend in July or August.

In 2019 twenty two people travelled from Scotland to Thun Saint Martin for a very successful visit over Bastille Day Weekend. We look forward to welcoming our French friends to this area in 2020.

We are always keen to welcome new members so if you are interested give a call to the Secretary on 01339 882877 or contact us through our Facebook page https://www.facebook/kontwinning/ where you will find more information about the Association and activities.

Charter Summary – To reinforce European Unity and the development of French-Scottish friendship, by encouraging contacts and exchanges between our two villages and their inhabitants; promoting cultural, scholastic and sporting exchanges; and promoting better mutual understanding of our civilisations, traditions, languages and states of mind, in order to strengthen peace and European unity.
