Mid Deeside Church

Mid Deeside Church, located at St. Marnan Road, Torphins, AB31 4JQ, is the Church of Scotland serving the villages of Torphins, Lumphanan and Kincardine O'Neil and surrounding country areas.

Mid Deeside Church (MDC) runs lots of activities which are open to all, including:

Music Box – a fun session for pre-school children and their carers held during term time on Monday mornings in the MDC Hall in Lumphanan.


Soup Lunches/Games Afternoons - These are normally held on the second and fourth Thursdays of October to May in the church complex in Torphins – visit the website for dates.  All welcome.


Holiday at Home – Annual one week programme of games, entertainment and afternoon tea for senior citizens held in the MDC church complex in Torphins in July each year.


The Guild – regular monthly get-togethers with speakers and fund raising programmes open to both men and women.


Bread of Life Charity Shop  –  Craigour Road, Torphins.  Staffed entirely by volunteers and selling a wide range of donated goods.  Shop profits are distributed every six months to support community organisations and projects in the parish.  New volunteers for the shop are always very welcome!  See the church website  for more info on the shop.


The Church complex in Torphins has been completely modernised and extended and has four very comfortable and flexible rooms available for rental along with all modern facilities including AV.  The rooms vary in size from a large hall with full AV facilities to a small room comfortably seating up to ten people and particularly suited for more private meetings.
